“DEGLI ODDI” CHAPEL

September 2024: the grand opening after a long restoration

2024 concludes with Sterling’s heart filled with pride and satisfaction for the contribution our company has made to its local community (Perugia, Umbria - Italy) through the completion of the restoration of the Degli Oddi Chapel, an authentic historical and artistic treasure returned to the city of Perugia. This project, carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Perugia as part of the Art Bonus initiative, stands as a tangible example of our commitment to supporting the culture and history of the territory where we operate. After a restoration process lasting five years, the Chapel has been restored to its former glory. In September, we celebrated this extraordinary achievement with an intense inaugural day: a press conference featuring key local institutions, the restorers, and art historian Valentina Borgnini, followed by a symposium rich with insights and reflections. This event highlighted the cultural value of our intervention but, above all, the bond between Sterling, the community, and Italy’s artistic heritage.

Equally significant was the moment dedicated to us, the Sterling family. During a special day, colleagues and their families had the opportunity to visit the Degli Oddi Chapel, guided by the passion and expertise of Professor Borgnini. It was an experience that brought generations together, reaffirming our belief: investing in culture means investing in people and in the growth of each of us. This project was not just an act of social responsibility but a concrete demonstration of how a company’s success goes beyond numbers and is also measured by its ability to leave a positive mark on society. Supporting the preservation of such a precious heritage is not only an investment in our community but also a commitment to ensuring that its historical and artistic identity continues to inspire future generations.
